K, first of all, I'm going to try hard not to CAPSLOVE this entire journal but dude how can I not so you've been warned!!!

HERE WE GOOOOOO~~ IT'S IN 4 PARTS, DON'T WORRY IT ISN'T ENDLESS

THIS MOVIE WAS THE SINGLE MOST EPIC THING I HAVE EVER WITNESSED IN MY ENTIRE PITIFUL LIFE. I DEEM IT THE MOST WONDERFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN, AND DAMN IT ALL IT IS SO NOT OVER PEOPLE. THERE'S STILL MORE MOVIES OF IT COMING OUT AND YAYYYY CLIFF HANGER= MORE AVATAR PLOT WE HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE FOR THE MOVIES! XD

PART 1: XD OMG AANG AND ZUKO FIREBENDING TOGETHER WAS SO HAWT I'M APPALLED THAT I DIDN'T GET A NOSEBLEED. AND ROARING FIRE IS MY NEWEST HOBBY. LOL AND SOKKA STRIPPED, CUZ LIKE IF THE OTHER GUYS GET TO DO IT, WHY NOT HIM? XD

And then they were having a beach party, and Zuko gets all pissed, and Aang wants watermelon, and then Zuko randomly starts attacking Aang AND I TOTALLY KNEW IT'S BECAUSE HE WANTED TO GET AANG TO GET BACK TO WORK and then he and Zuko had the FIREBENDING FIGHT OF PWN-NESS. FROM THE TRAILER WHICH I LOVE.

AND TOPH'S SAND SCULPTURE OF BA SING SE COMPARED TO SOKKA'S SUKI SCULPTURE MADE ME LAUGH UNTIL I NEARLY CRIED.
AND LMFAO 'FANS AND SWORDS'~

AND THE PRACTICE BATTLE. OH MY GOD.

OH, MY, GOD.

I DEFINITELY THINK I CRIED WITH LAUGHTER THERE. TOPH, I LOVE YOU. MELONLORD!TOPH WAS THE MOST FUNNIEST THING IN THE ENTIRE FINALE XDDD L.M.F.A.O.

='D and Zuko taught Aang how to redirect Azula's lightning, and it was so wonderful because he was following in Uncle's footsteps, and then it was so lulzzz because Katara was like "OWOOPS, sorry, fresh out of magical water ever since Azula zapped you at the end of season two!" lmao the way she was all like "oh btw" about it was so hilarious to me. Aang was all like -_-;;;;

AND THE BACK-TO-BACK-BATTLE OF KATARA WITH ZUKO... THE FIRE AND WATER, THE 360 DEGREE ZOOM, LEFT ME IN SHOCK. Mike and Bryan... you never fail to AMAZE. And the fact that it was that amazing only during the practice battle left me feeling all giddy because it was bound to be a hundred times that awesome during the actual final attack!

And Aang... oh, Aang. I knew it wasn't you to kill the Fire Lord! Even during practice, he didn't do it, and even when they discussed it, he refused to accept it as his only option. He stood up against Katara, and dude we all know how badass she can be when she's mad, but oh my god Aang shouted right back and walked the hell away. I wanted to grab him and hug him. Good for you kid, good for you. He knew it was something that the monks had taught him all his pre-100-years-of-hibernation life, to hold all life sacred. He fought with himself and with his friends to find another way, because he knew there was always another way. It really reminded me of how he sorely hoped against hope that there would be another way to reach the Avatar State without having to let go of the one person in the world he loved most, and, to everyone out there who called him a loser coward for not being able to let Katara go...
HE FOUND ANOTHER WAY, YO~

PART 2:
Aang left, without a word, for find his own answers. He consulted past Avatars, and ALL of them told him pretty much to take the bastard down. And then he said the line of pure awesomeness that Nick kept replaying in every commercial- "I think I have to kill the Fire Lord..." but the whole time he gave off the feeling that pretty much he wasn't planning on doing it without searching to his last breath for another way.

And that was when he met the lion turtle. Who was hard to understand when he spoke, but when you could make out what it said, he was saying something quite profound... telling Aang that there really was another path he could take, one that depended solely on the pureness and strength of his spirit, and at that point I pretty much went OHELLYA because that there pretty much defines Aang <3

AND LMAO MEANWHILE KATARA AND TOPH MEET UP WITH 'AANG'....
AND THE PART WHERE TOPH LITERALLY SAYS WHAT EVERY SINGLE FAN HAS BEEN THINKING - SHE WANTS A JOURNEY WITH ZUKO TOO- LULZZZZZZZZ

And then we cut to Azula going batshitcrazy at her mirror, a scene we've seen SO MANY TIMES in the commercials and claimed was her hallucinating, and lulz guess we were right xD. Of course, we weren't able to imagine the extent, however, of her utter insanity . I felt sad for Ursa... seems like she really did love Azula all along even through all the evil things she had done, and really all she wanted was so help her daughter out of this sickness and show her the right way. Zuko had Uncle Iroh for that... Azula just had two seriously FREAKY grandmas who desperately need some botox, honestly I can't take having to look at any more sag, LOL.

AND K, JUNE WAS AWESOME. THE WHOLE "OH, SO YOU MADE UP WITH YOUR GF?" LINE TO ZUKO... LMAO.
Katara and Zuko were just like "EW NO, WTF? STOP SHIPPING US TOGETHER!" XD It was so like the Ember Island Players moment when they got creeped out by the cave scene parody and moved away from each other xD. Aww, that was just so gooddd~

And then Zuko produces Iroh's sandal and the room I'm sitting in is suddenly rockkingggg with laughter

And wow... the four old masters.... the Order of the White Lotus- WE ALL TOTALLY PREDICTED THAT

And Bumi. BUMI IS FREAKING CRAZY. HE'S INSANE. HE'S NOT EVEN HUMAN, K? AND HE PWNS EVERYONE. EXCEPT TOPH. XD What he did to the statue of Ozai was just.... lmfaoooo

But Zuko... he finally got to see Iroh again. And I think I might've been crying at that point but didn't realize it because I remember nothing of my own feelings except for joy at the fact that Iroh was never angry at his nephew. Seeing Zuko cry...
I found it truly tragic. And then they were hugging and suddenly almost everything in the world felt okay again .

And then Zuko immediately asks Katara for help in taking down Batshitcrazy!Azula? I was SO GIDDY at that point, the battle was BOUND TO BE EPIC.

PART 3: Sokka and Toph... One of the most intense moments of the final battle was their's. Sokka holding on to Toph's hand, I almost thought Toph wasn't going to make it, and it was tearing me up inside, and then BOOMERAANGGGGG <3333

And doods. Toph metal bending. She turned into a freaking GUNDAM and took out every damned FN soldier who was idiotic enough to come her way
AND LMFAO SOKKA- "I CAN'T BELIEVE THE CAPTAIN REMEMBERED MY BIRTHDAY!?" died. of. laughter.
And I thought Suki was dead. And inside I wilted, because it just wasn't fair, it just wasn't, Sokka already lost Yue, and now Suki too? After everything he went through to get her back...
But she returned! In SUPER BADASS FORM.

And then the Zuko vs. Azula battle.
1) the music. brought me to internal tears. it was heavenly. i can't even begin to express it in words...
2) the bitter-sweetness of the fight... we all knew by that point that Zuko was going to win, because it was clear that Azula had completely fallen apart.
3) which left us all in shock when she aimed for Katara (same way she did for Iroh back in Book 2! why didn't we see this coming?! ;_; ) instead, and ZUKO TOOK THE HIT.

AND ZUKO WENT DOWN.

AND HE WASN'T MOVING.

AND I DIED.

And then Katara was running, and there wasn't any water, and she was skiing, and gliding, and then she saw the chains and Azula was frozen in the awesomest freeze-shot ever, and seconds later Katara had her tied down. She rushes to Zuko and heals him, and there we experience such a wonderful, warm feel-good moment when Zuko thanks her. And they both turn to look sadly at Azula, on the ground shrieking in such an ethereal and jarring way like a caged dragon. Srsly. She tried breathing fire. It didn't help much

PART 4: Aang... your battle is impossible for me to describe so simply. After the movie ended I was dead tired and yet the excitement and incredible feelings I had after the end helped me write a short description of your fight with the Phoenix Lord, in this sort of dream-like state I was in before falling asleep and during being in shock after the finale. Here it is....

<sub>Through seeking knowledge to find a way to bring an end without taking a life, that was how he was able to find a means to bring peace. His determination, his boundless resolve to choose the right path- this was what gave him the limitless strength to succeed. He was torn at first, desperate to find the answer, and regretful to hear the harsh voicings of his friends urging him to take the only visible route they could see.

But he believed in his heart that there must be another way. Taking a person's life was not the way to save the world. He was fearful at first, and ran when it seemed that he was losing to the Phoenix King, hid when it seemed all was lost; but what almost became the final blow to end his very own life turned out to be the point that unleashed his power within.
And he became invincible, in his excruciating pain and sadness which shielded him in the form of the elements which let absolutely no harm come to his body. The Phoenix King was struck down once, twice, three times. The moment came, the crucial juncture at which the boy's powers swelled and all of his past lives spoke as one through his lips claiming their victory as the true final blow was dealt...

And missed.

Aang refused to end it this way. He would not. And therein lay the Phoenix King's greatest mistake when he took Aang's mercy for weakness and attempted to smote him from behind his back.
Yet the boy had been ready for this. With graceful ease he deftly blocked every attack and finally, summoning the lasting strength within himself, he began the last test. The test of pureness of spirit, one that after the greatest struggle of his lifetime his boundless belief and resolve pulled him through; and he relieved the jaded man of his only weapon- the source of all destruction thus far- leaving him broken and empty on the ground.

In this newfound peace Aang stood tall, happy as his furry companion returned to land on his shoulder. He then healed the burning, charred land with the cooling touch of water, and looking around at the newfound serenity that now surrounded him, he knew he had done it. He knew that he, Avatar Aang, had just saved the entire world. Just as Katara had always believed.</sub>

It's short, but that's all I could manage before my hand died and I just had to get some sleep, it was 2am in the morning. And the ending.

ZOMG, THE ENDING.

Zuko was so heartfelt! And MAI RETURNEDDDD <333 and they had a Maikout!!! And she BLUSHED. And they HUGGED, and then the Maikout almost every Avatard out there had been waiting for since seeing Zuko and Mai together all those years ago under the apple tree . AND YEZZZ "Don't ever- break up with me- again!" WOOT, MAI~~<3

And Zuko made his speech of awesomeness, and dude it was great when he totally gave ALL credit to Aang for saving the world... And then cut to Zuko asking Ozai in prison about his mother... YAY cliff hanger! It just means there's more ATLA to come in the movies! I'm positive!

and LMFAO... Ba Sing Se... Iroh... the tea shop... Zuko in his tea shop clothes again... everyone else wearing earth kingdom clothes and Katara looked BEAUTIFUL *sobs* and Sokka's drawing... LOL "YOU GAVE ME MOMO'S EARS...?" Oh Katara.... <3 you're the best.

And finally, the moment I waited for since the first episode of ATLA.
It was beautiful.
Words were not needed.
She stood by him.
And she and Aang looked so happy...
and they stared into each other's eyes, and the music made me want to sob...
and then they hugged like never before...
and the kiss.
Katara kisses Aang. The best kiss in the entire SHOW of ALL episodes. I always thought the best was the one tragic one between Sokka and Yue, but this...
It was fantastic, and fierce, and they loved each other, always had, always will, and nothing else seemed to matter to them right then other than their being together.

It is the best ending to the most epic story I've ever experienced, and I put it right up there with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and BEYOND.

Mike and Bryan... you really did it. You're amazing, and you two have brought to thousands of people across the world an epic that has changed so many lives. I love them so much for what they did... I have nothing but gratitude, respect and awe for their story-telling prowess. In writing, animation and art, they've done it all... and arguably that puts them past J.K.Rowling, my hero, by MILES.

I also absolutely love them for making a show that could touch so many people and turn them into die-hard fans like myself and you guys, my DA buddies! Thank you so much for favoriting my ATLA artwork, and for being there for me in my journals, and for just all around being an ATLA fan. You're all amazing people, and it just feels so good knowing you guys understand exactly what I mean, because we all got through this together ...

...Just remember- it isn't over. There's more to come, and I'm definitely looking forward to it!
